Be the change that you wish to inspire in the world.
Cancer affects millions of people around the world each year, and its prevalence continues to grow. At the same time, climate change is a rapidly escalating threat to our planet, with devastating effects on human health and well-being. But what is the connection between these two issues?
Recent research has uncovered a web of links between cancer and climate change. For example, exposure to certain environmental toxins and pollutants found in air and water - has been linked to an increased risk of cancer. As climate change accelerates, these risks are growing, and weather events and other environmental impacts release more pollutants into our air and water systems.
With the CCH, we hope to inspire other students in working with their environment to reduce the correlation between the 2, by addressing the issue and inducing real change!!
